How to make an ecommerce website

An ecommerce website are online portals that allow us to make aonlien transactions of good and services over the Internet.

There are different ecommerce websites for every business. The most commons is a website for retail selling but also there are other options like auction websites,business to business websites,consultancy website,etc.

In this guide we will learn how to create a professional ecommerce website by ourselves that will allow us sell any kind of products online.

Ecommerce Website Guide step by step

Our first step will be to install Wordpress.

(If you didn't install Wordpress yet,read the step by step guide here).

Step 1:Installing WooCommerce

  1. Login to your Wordpress Admin Area.
    http://example.com/wp-admin
  2. From the left side menu select Plugins.
  3. Click on Add New
  4. Type WooCommerce in the search field.
  5. Find WooCommerce plugin and click on Install Now.
  6. Wait till the installation is done.
  7. Click on Activate.

Step 2:Setting Up WooCommerce

  1. Click on Setup Wizard.
  2. Choose currency and other options for your shop.
    Don't worry if you are not sure about any option,you will be able to modify it any time later.
